Bethlehem

We went to "Bethlehem" (reenactment of the night Jesus was born) at Lynnhaven church. It was really nice and we had fun. We had a long wait, and it was cold but it was well worth it! They had everything set up and decorated really nice. Zoey loved the animals especially the camel. I think baby Jesus was her favorite though since she has a new obsession with babies. We definitely plan on going back next year if they have it.

Scary Santa

My once fearless daughter, is scared of Santa. The first time we saw Santa we were in Wal-Mart and I woke her up by pulling her out of her car seat, so I blamed her kicking and screaming like a crazy person on being tired. Tonight we tried again, but I took a different approach, I didn't force her, and let her watch all of the other little kids climb up on his lap and get a toy. Her little friend Bridget was even going to walk her up there, but she backed out. I did get a picture but it was of her screaming! I guess I could blame it on her not feeling well today, but I really think she's just scared. Poor Kid! We'll try again next year!

12 More days til' Christmas

I can't wait! We've got Zoey so much stuff, and this year unlike last year when she was 6 months, I think she's really going to love ripping off all that paper!

Growing up...

All of a sudden my little girl is really growing up! She's drinking out of a straw, eating with a fork, mocking commercials, and just learning all kinds of new stuff everyday. Which is very exciting but I can't help but feeling a little sad that she doesn't really "need" (want) my help anymore, she's "Miss Independent".
For example; today she walks out of her room holding her jacket, and says "Ma-ma, buh-bye, Wal-mart" pointing to the door. She cracks me up!

Brownie Points

My husband was such a sweetie today. He got up, went hunting, and came back in time to get our little girl before she woke up screaming. He fixed her breakfast and took her to grandma's to visit, while I got to sleep until 1:00pm. I don't know why I was so tired but it felt so good to stay in bed most of the day. I love him!

Pocomoke Parade

It seems it always falls on the coldest night of the year. I think it was like 34 degrees. Brrr!

Little Mommy

It amazes me that my 18 month old is so maternal already. Over the past week she has taken interest in baby dolls, not all baby dolls just the one that was my favorite when I was younger. I love to watch her, she'll carry it around, rub her back, pull her diapers out and try to put them on the baby, she even pretends to powder it. She likes to share her "toot-toot", snacks, and milk. She even takes her to the potty. I often think as I watch her what a good big sister she'll be some day. Until that day, I'll just keep watching.

Deer Season

Well rifle season started yesterday, and my hubby, got two deer. He was so proud of himself and I was soo happy thinking maybe since he got them he would cut back on the time he spends hunting. Well, I was wrong, now he just wants to go even more to get a bigger buck. Lord help me!

Give Thanks!

Every year around Thanksgiving, I start thinking a lot about what I am thankful for. First of all I am soo thankful for my husband, without him I don't know where I would be today. He's pulled me out of some really rough times. I'm also thankful that I have a beautiful, healthy, energetic, little girl, who I love more than I ever knew was possible. I'm so thankful for so many things in my life it's hard to narrow it down; a roof over my head, being able to be a SAHM, food on the table, a car, my friends, family, and the list goes on and on....
